Alina Rossique Falcon is best known as the wife of drug lord Augusto Willie Falcon. Willy Falcon was a well-known drug kingpin during the 1980s. He is one-third of the famed Cocaine Cowboys of Miami.
In Miami, Florida, Willy, his brother Gustavo Taby Falcon, and high school pal Salvador Sal Magluta formed a $2 billion cocaine empire.
The trio (aided by Jorge Valdes, Pedro Peggy Rosello/Alexia Echevarria, and Justo Jay) was eventually charged with importing and distributing more than 75 tons of cocaine. Falcon and Magluta were convicted of smuggling over $2 billion in cocaine. They were arrested in April of 1991.
Falcon and Magluta were initially found not guilty. However, a subsequent inquiry revealed that their jury members had been bribed.
Following the disclosure, Magluta, Falcon, and a number of jurors and colleagues were charged with a variety of crimes.
Falcon reached a plea agreement with the prosecutors and was condemned to only 20 years in federal prison, whilst Magluta was sentenced to 205 years.
Gustavo Falcon, Willy’s brother, evaded police for 26 years and was the final member of the trio to be jailed. In January 2018, he was found guilty and sentenced to 11 years imprisonment.
