Will Love Be Back in Season 4 of You? Reddit Users Wonder if the Character Returns in the New Season!

Love Quinn (played by Victoria Pedretti) will not be back in Season 4 of You. In the Season 3 finale, Love killed herself when she attempted to paralyze Joe with aconite. However, some Reddit users believe she may return in part 2 of the series as a flashback or as a figment of Joe’s imagination.

Netflix announced the fourth season of the American psychological thriller television series You on October 13, 2021. Sera Gamble, co-creator of the series, returns as showrunner. Penn Badgley reprises his role as Joe Goldberg, and Tati Gabrielle reprises her role as Marienne Bellamy, with Charlotte Ritchie, Tilly Keeper, Amy-Leigh Hickman, Ed Speleers, and Lukas Gage joining the cast. The season was divided into two parts, with the first premiering on February 9, 2023, and the second on March 9, 2023.

The Netflix original series follows Joe Goldberg, whose obsession with the woman he falls in love with leads to tragic events in their lives. At the start of Season 3, it was shown that Love Quinn was not only cool with Joe’s history of murder but was also a talented murderer.

Later, we saw Joe and Love, who were now married, move to the suburbs with their infant son, Henry. But neither of them was able to change their ways, as she continued to kill and Joe continued to obsess. As the new season has arrived on the streaming platform, many people, especially Reddit users, wonder if Love will be in the new season. Well, let’s find it out.

Previously, we touched on Joe’s zodiac sign, Rhys Montrose, and who killed Malcolm.

To Our Knowledge, Victoria Pedretti Is Not Expected to Reprise Her Role as Love Quinn in You Season 4: While She Could Make an Appearance, Showrunner Sera Gamble Has Confirmed That the Character Is Indeed Dead!

With the climax of Love Quinn‘s character’s storyline in You Season 3, we all believe Love will no longer be a part of Joe‘s story. There’s still room for her to return in season 4, most likely as a hallucination, similar to what Joe experienced after killing Beck in the second season. It’s possible that in his new life, he’ll be haunted by the ghost of his wife, who will keep reminding him of his past, particularly the son he abandoned.

The character played by Victoria Pedretti (@then0t0ri0usvip), best known for her role in the critically highly praised The Haunting of Hill House, revealed that she was aware of Love’s impending death and was not surprised when she learned of it. She explained, “I knew [Love] was going to die at the end of this [third] season pretty early on. I knew I wasn’t going to be on the show past two seasons, so I assumed that she would die”. Love’s death also marks an important turning point in Joe’s story, as he leaves America and attempts to start over in London.

Meanwhile, Pedretti is hard at work on her new project, Saint X, a psychological thriller for Hulu. Despite her hectic schedule, the actress may be able to return in the upcoming season of You if the story requires it. It remains to be seen how if at all, the Netflix series’ creators will pull this off.

In the series, Joe Goldberg struggled with his obsession with the woman he fell in love with. When Love learns about it, she believes she has finally found someone who understands her love language and will accept her as she is, just as she accepts Joe as he is. Joe turns out to be a hypocrite who does not want to be with her. Still, he tries to change himself and live a happy life free of her complications, but he can’t shake his nature, just as Love can’t change hers.

By the end of Season 3, Joe is convinced that Love will not let him go easily, especially after learning of his affair with Marienne. She considers killing Marienne at first but then decides to kill Joe instead. He, on the other hand, anticipates her plan and turns it on her by giving her the paralytic with which she murdered her first husband and was planning to murder him again.

With the Conrads trapped in Love’s bakery’s basement, Joe realizes he will be found guilty of her murder, so he devises a plan. She confesses to the murder of everyone who has died or gone missing since their arrival in Madre Linda in a suicide note. He also adds himself to the list of her victims by chopping off two of his toes and leaving behind DNA evidence of his death. Then he burns down their house to make it appear as if Love committed suicide.
