And in the show, he is looking for a female who was born in the United States yet speaks Hindi as well as he does. The MD holder also cites a handful of other personality traits that were comprehensible until he claimed he wanted a Brahmin female. Reddit & Instagram updates!
Netflix‘s Indian Matchmaking is back with a new season! The Indian dating show not only demonstrates that the Indian diaspora still believes in the concept of matchmaking, but it also demonstrates how similar the potential candidates’ preferences are to those of Indians. Vikash Mishra, a doctor by profession, was looking for a Brahmin lady who speaks fluent Hindi and was born in America as one of the prospective candidates for the show’s new season 3. It’s incredible that a man with his education would still believe in such retrograde criteria for finding a life partner.
Apart from the desire, Vikash Mishra is currently making headlines as many fans believe he might be gay. As a result, many Reddit users recently have been curious to learn more about his background and wanted to know about his sexuality and dating history. Let’s find out if the actor is gay.
Previously, we discussed Pavneet Kaur, Bobby Seagull, Priya Ashra, Rushali, Arti, and Jamal.
Vikash Mishra From Indian Matchmaking Season 3 Is Not Gay!
Vikash Mishra (@vdmdlv) has made it clear that he is fussy when it comes to dating. And in Indian Matchmaking, he is looking for a female who was born in the United States yet speaks Hindi as well as he does. He also cites a handful of other personality traits that were comprehensible until he claimed he wanted a Brahmin female.
He also relaxed the occupation requirement on his list of criteria, which also included being between the ages of 32 and 42, educated, fun, energetic, charismatic, attractive, taller than 5’3″, and wanting to have children. He confessed on the show, saying, “I’ve been trying to, like, find, like, this perfect princess.”

And when Vikash was approaching his fortieth birthday, he recruited Sima Taparia‘s (@simatapariaofficial) assistance in finding a marriage. When she introduced him to Anjali, he thought she was a good match, but after three dates, he determined she didn’t tick all the boxes of what he was looking for, including the fact that she didn’t speak Hindi. Later, the California-based doctor disclosed his decision to Sima to end his relationship with Anjali, saying,
I don’t want to frivolously date or go on multiple dates with someone if I don’t feel like I’m moving towards a goal of potentially meeting someone to get married.
Things went downhill even faster with Namrata, with whom he shared common interests but didn’t sense a connection. Despite her fluency in Hindi, he disliked the fact that she spoke English with an Indian accent due to her Indian upbringing. While filming in April 2022, Vikash turned 40, and the third time looked to be the charm with 30-year-old attorney Janki Kaneria (@xojanki). He gushed, “Aunty Sima did a great job with this one.”
They had chemistry, but there was a significant stumbling block: Janki lived across the nation in Charlotte, North Carolina. Regardless, Vikash knew he wanted to see her again, despite the fact that North Carolina is only a plane journey away and logistics are just that — but “if there’s a will, there’s a way.” It also helped that they both stated that they were willing to relocate for the appropriate person.

However, it does not appear that Vikash or Janki moved once the filming was completed. Vikash is still employed as an ER doctor at Vituity in Davis, California, according to his LinkedIn profile. Not to forget, he is an MD holder from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Meanwhile, Janki works as a public defender in Charlotte for the State of North Carolina. That’s not to say they couldn’t still be dating, and they appear to have kept in touch based on the fact that they follow each other on Instagram.
Vikash hasn’t been very active on social media since filming wrapped, but he suggested that he was excited and terrified to make his Indian Matchmaking debut. Janki, for her part, appears to have kept her involvement in the Netflix series under wraps. A friend quipped that she was disrespectful for not spilling the tea before her surprise casting announcement, along with the Season 3 trailer, on April 6. Janki responded, “I dropped so many hints!!!!”
On the other hand, many people wonder if Vikash is gay. Well, he isn’t. For those who wonder about his sexuality, he is straight by gender. Some Reddit users assume he is gay due to the way he behaves. One user said,
Did anyone else get the impression that he was gay? Sima mentioned ‘Life Partner’ and he mentioned about them not needing to have a six-pack. And he kept saying person, not woman… when he also saw his first bio data he looked at it, and said ‘cool’. I feel like he’s hiding his true sexuality to please his parents…
