Earlier this week, the mother of his ex-fiancé claimed on Facebook that he was still in a relationship with her daughter while ‘applying’ for season 6. Her claim was accompanied by a photo of Jeramey, 32, and Brittani looking happy in front of a Christmas tree, as well as Brittani’s son.

However, in a video shared on his Instagram, he revealed that he had been single ‘for a number of weeks’ before being approached by casting producers through social media. He also claimed that he had spoken extensively about his previous partner on the show and that these sections had been conveniently cut out of the final edit. He said,
So I want to quickly address the story that’s going around about my previous engagement prior to Love Is Blind. One, anybody I was on dates with, my cast mates and in multiple interviews, this topic was discussed…Two, I did not apply to this while I was living with anybody else. I was out living on my own, and I didn’t seek this out. I was actually reached out to over Instagram. I had already been out on my own for a number of weeks at that point, and I was asked if I’d like to have a discussion around it and I said sure why not.
On top of the video, Jeremy shared a screenshot from an Instagram conversation with a casting associate producer. His public rebuttal came only hours after he was obliged to speak out against the ‘over the top’ taunting of this season’s participants. While the former couple does share a son, they appear to have their own remarks about him joining the Netflix show.
