Lily Collins and weight loss have forever been paired up as the Emily in Paris star was previously diagnosed with anorexia nervosa. While she has yet to make remarks on the subject, many of her fans are worried and wonder if she is struggling with an eating disorder again in 2022.
Even if Emily in Paris won't quite achieve the icon status of Ugly Betty or The Devil Wears Prada, it will most likely once again be seen by millions of people worldwide on Netflix, and for good reason. Without a doubt, Emily in Paris is entertaining. It is a lighthearted, enjoyable drama about the lives of American marketing professional Emily Cooper, portrayed by Lily Collins, who is around 20-something years old and is set in the stunning city of Paris.
Along the way, Emily in Paris walks a thin line between taking place in the actual world and being entirely made up. Emily in Paris is more than just beautiful. In the middle of the economic crisis, viewers may switch off and escape to Paris for 30 minutes at a time anytime they wish. It also boasts high fashion and a brilliant (and attractive) cast.
Lily Collins, who plays the role of Emily, also deserves credit for the success of the show. Many viewers have been obsessed with her character and performance. Obviously, many people note down every detail of her. Similarly, people have been concerned about her appearance. They believe she looks way too skinny sometimes. As a result, they want to know about her weight loss. Well, we've got you covered.
Emily in Paris: Lily Collins’ Weight Loss Has Been a Major Concern for the Fans as She Has Previously Been Diagnosed With Anorexia Nervosa!
Viewers weren't really concerned about Lily Collins' (@lilyjcollins) weight when Season 1 of Emily in Paris debuted, However, they believe she looks much thinner in Seasons 2 and 3 of the show. People have been dying to know if she underwent a weight loss transformation to fit in the fancy outfits in the show. One fan tweeted,
Did Lily Collins lose more weight in Season 2? Hope she's doing well.
Another wrote, "Lily Collins' weight, or lack thereof, is very distracting this season. I hope she’s getting the help she needs."
It's not that Lily Collins was in perfect shape before. She has forever been a thin yet beautiful girl. However, people are worried considering how her past was. Lily Collins particularly had anorexia nervosa, and she spoke about it in 2017 when she played a character with this condition in the film, To The Bone. She no longer had anorexia when she was filming the movie, but she made the conscious decision to discuss it openly in order to embrace and support others who had her experience.
Lilly Collins admitted to having anorexia as a child in an interview with Harper's Bazaar, but with time, she was able to recover. She explained,
When I was younger, I wanted to reach this image of what I thought perfection was and I equated that with – well, with what you see in the media; you think body shape has to a lot do with being perfect.
Although Lily Collins' weight loss was a major issue for her, she also said that she began to change for the better when she discovered she wanted to create a family in the future, despite the fact that she wanted to restrict her diet to achieve that goal. She further added,
I wanted to control how I got there. At that time, I was dealing with high school and relationships, and you're very out of control at that stage in your life. How do you feel in control? Well, I controlled how I ate and looked. Then, as I grew older, I realized that perfection doesn't exist and my priorities have shifted because I want a family one day.
Lily Collins' weight loss was addressed in another interview with Shape, and the actress acknowledged that he had come to the realization that a healthy figure is the ideal one. "But healthy now is how strong I feel. It’s a beautiful change because if you’re strong and confident, it doesn’t matter what muscles are showing. Today I love my shape. My body is the shape it is because it holds my heart."
Regarding Lily's appearance in Emily in Paris, not everyone agreed. In opposition to the logic of weight loss, others are now speculating as to whether she had plastic surgery. Lily has not yet responded to either rumor. As much as someone whose physique is now attracting somewhat more attention than her professional accomplishments may be, let's hope she's okay in 2022.
