Cara Delevingne (full name: Cara Jocelyn Delevingne) is a British model, actress, and singer who gained prominence in the fashion world for her distinctive eyebrows, unique look, and runway presence. She has modeled for numerous high-profile fashion brands and designers, becoming a recognizable face in the industry.

She moved on from modeling to acting, appearing in films such as Paper Towns, Suicide Squad, and Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. She has also dabbled in music and has been involved in many charity activities.

On the other hand, Cara Delevingne’s journey into stardom has not been as smooth as we think. Earlier this year, she revealed that she got herself into rehab for a drug addiction problem. Since then, many people have been curious to learn more about her addiction. Well, we’ve got you covered.

Cara Delevingne’s Inspirational Battle Against Her Drug Addiction Problem!

In March 2023, Cara Delevingne spoke candidly with Vogue about checking herself into treatment for her drug addiction problems after seeing terrifying paparazzi photographs of herself and recognizing she was in a “bad” place. She explained,

At that point, there was a lot of people who were very worried, understandably so but I wasn’t really worried, though … but that is the nature of the disease. That is what addiction is.

She eventually understood she needed long-term treatment — a 12-step program — rather than a “quick fix” like a “week retreat” that she would not “fully do.” She further added,

All I knew is if I was continuing to go down the road I was, I would either end up dead or, like, doing something really, really stupid. That was scary. … Treatment was the best thing. It was always something I was very scared of, but I think I needed that community. I needed that support group

She then went on to say that she prefers the term “healing” to “recovery” because it is something she is “constantly doing.” With the support of therapy, yoga, and continued treatment, Delevingne claimed that she was clean for four months at the time. It means that she has been sober for over a year now.

Despite all the ups and downs, Cara Delevingne (@caradelevingne) carried herself to fight against her drug addiction problem. No doubt, she is living a better life now. Her recent Instagram pictures clearly indicate that she is happy and healthier now.

While they have been dating for almost 2 years now, their bond dates back to when they first met as kids at the English boarding school Bedales. The duo rejoined 12 years later at an Alanis Morissette performance after losing contact. Talking about her partner, she said,

She’s the type of person who has boundaries, and there came a point with me when she wasn’t going to have it much longer, and it was a blessing in disguise. It’s the first time I feel like I’m in a relationship not trying to rescue someone.

Delevingne and Minke have spent holidays together (in Utah, specifically) during the duration of their relationship, including this past Christmas and New Year’s Eve, which Delevingne spent sober.
