Physical 100 Review: Our Point of View So Far!
Physical: 100 first reminded us of Squid Game combined with Ninja Warrior. There are a total of 10 episodes, each with a duration of up to 60 minutes, making this the Saturday night intense watch as you’re sipping your tea. While we viewers munch and probably couldn’t complete even one obstacle, these athletes are being judged at their peak of fitness.
This show features more than just the typical well-trained person; it also stars from the Netflix Korean dating series Singles Inferno, a K-Pop dancer, rappers, Youtubers, MMA champions, Judo masters, and Olympic gold medalists. Additionally, there are a variety of personalities for fans to root for, including farmers, bodybuilders, and models.
Although this show’s theme is “battle to survive,” unlike the perennially famous Squid Game, fortunately, no one actually dies in this one. It involves putting your physical and mental endurance to the test and pushing your body to its physical and mental limits. The obstacles are formidable and even include actual combat.
The production and design staff should be praised for creating some amazing venues and locations. In order to safely fall into anything, the first difficulty is to hang from metal bars until there is only one remaining. Many candidates were surprised by how quickly they fell, even though it doesn’t appear to be as terrible as you might assume.
The first episode opens with competitors moving among sculpted bodies in search of their own. In a subsequent challenge, the loser must destroy their bust. Although a little demeaning, this is really dramatic. Comparatively speaking, it’s pretty serious; there’s no corny presenter, funny voice-over, or live crowd to support the participants. Everything is concentrated on the competitors and the task.
Despite the obvious competitiveness, there is still a strong sense of friendship among the competitors as they support one another. It’s wonderful to see this. Each contender respects the other, yet it’s not manipulative or nasty. The fact that they clearly respect and comprehend what it took to get here has a favorable impact on the audience.
