The brutal yet captivating series pits 100 male and female competitors against each other in challenges that push them to their limits. To survive the grueling tasks that require agility, brute strength, and endurance, the contestants must be in peak physical condition.

Yun Sung-Bin has had us all swooning since his appearance on the latest South Korean reality series, which is currently trending on Netflix. Yun Sung-bin is one of the 100 competitors who entered the competition and is one of the many who have won fans’ hearts week after week since the episodes started to air.

Meet Iron Man Fan From Physical 100: Yun Sung Bin Is the First Athlete From Outside of Europe or America to Win a Medal in Sliding!

Physical: 100, the latest Korean series on Netflix, has captured the attention of the entire world, thanks in large part to the attractive competitors. And Yun Sung Bin (@top.physical), one of the contestants of the series has recently been the center of our undivided attention and is also for his exceptional agility and athleticism. Likely, he is also known for his Iron Man-style helmet, which makes the Marvel comic hero seem to be flying full-speed ahead when Yun is on the track. He even got to meet his real-life hero, Robert Downey Jr., who plays Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, last year.

Yun Sung-Bin (born May 23, 1994) is a skeleton racer from South Korea. He won gold in men’s skeleton at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics and competed in the Sochi Winter Olympics in 2014. Yun grew up in South Korea’s southern coastal region of Namhae, South Gyeongsang Province, with no knowledge of the winter sliding sport. However, Yun enjoyed running around at the beach as a child and excelled in many sports at school, including soccer, badminton, competitive running, and jumping.

Yun moved to Seoul in middle school and continued to play sports at school in the hopes of getting into a sports university. In 100-meter races, he would request to start 10 meters behind other runners his age and still beat them. He could quickly grab a basketball rim at 1.78 meters tall. Yun’s natural athletic ability was noticed by his physical education teacher, Kim Young-tae, who was also serving as an official at the Korea Bobsleigh Skeleton Federation at the time, while he was playing basketball in high school.

Later, Yun began skeleton at the age of 18 in early 2012 and won the national championship in September 2012 after a three-month training period. During the 2012-13 season, Yun made his international debut on the North American Cup Tour. Yun rose to prominence during the 2013-14 season, completing fifth overall on the FIBT Intercontinental Cup Tour.

Meanwhile, the Physical 100 cast completed 16th place in his first Olympic competition in Sochi. Yun, on the other hand, thrived in the 2014-15 season under the tutelage of British sled specialist Richard Bromley, a co-founder of Bromley Sports, one of the world’s leading sled manufacturing firms. Yun earned his first World Cup podium in December 2014, taking bronze in Calgary. Yun completed his rookie season in sixth place overall in the 2014-15 World Cup rankings, with one silver and two bronze medals.

The Iron Man admirer won his first World Cup gold medal in the seventh round in St. Moritz in 2015-16, and a silver at the 2016 IBSF World Championships in Igls, completing second in the season’s overall World Cup rankings with one gold, three silver, and two bronze. Yun won his second World Cup gold medal in the first round in Whistler during the 2016-17 season.

He completed the season in second place overall in the World Cup rankings, with one gold, three silver, and two bronze medals. Meanwhile, Yun has also won the overall World Cup in 2017-18, becoming the first Asian athlete to do so in Skeleton World Cup history.
