Kong x Godzilla: Why Does Kong Have a Metal Arm? blurred-reality.com

In the recently released trailer of Kong x Godzilla, we see that Kong has a metal arm at the end. While we’re not sure why he has a metal arm, we believe it is part of a ‘power’ upgrade to battle the gigantic red primate.

It’s happening!! In the first trailer for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, we finally see Godzilla and Kong working together to defeat a deadly enemy. The latest feature film in Warner Bros./Legendary Entertainment‘s MonsterVerse follows the events of Godzilla vs. Kong (2021), in which audiences finally saw the two apex kaiju struggle for supremacy.

According to the trailer, The New Empire goes further into the mysteries of the Hollow Earth and reveals a Titan threat that will need a Godzilla-Kong partnership. The movie was supposed to be released in theaters on March 15, 2024, however, it was later pushed back to April 12, 2024.

Not only do we see Kong and Godzilla unite to defeat a common enemy, but we also see that both of them have major upgrades that bring force to them even more. While Godzilla’s atomic power has turned neon pink now, we see Kong with a metal arm at the end of the trailer. As a result, many people have been curious to know why he has a metal arm. Well, we’ve got you covered.

Previously, we discussed the stories of Brie Larson and Bruce Willis.

Why Does Kong Have a Metal Arm?

It is still too early to make assumptions about Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. We still have to wait more than 4 months for the movie’s release and answers to all of our questions. While the creators have not revealed why Kong has a metal arm, we believe it is because they want to add something new and forceful to the character.

In the new MosterVerse movie, Kong and Godzilla will face the gigantic red primate. Just from the trailer, we can see that the red primate is way too powerful and aggressive than Kong and Godzilla. In an interview with IGN, director Adam Wingard explained when he wanted to create such a reckoning force saying,

We wanted to come up with an antagonist that would both be a match for Kong and Godzilla, and that’s really hard to do. There’s a lot more to this character and how he’s a threat, and that’s going to be something that’s going to be fun to kind of dole out.

With such a powerful villain, it would not be exciting to see Kong and Godzilla battling the gigantic red primate with everything we’ve seen in the previous movies. Thus, we can assume the creators added Godzilla with a neon pink atomic power and Kong with a metal arm as an upgrade to their powers.

On the other hand, it’s important to understand that the given information is based on our speculation only. As mentioned before, we will have to wait until April to confirm why Kong has a metal arm.

Godzilla‘s fully redesigned visage was one of the most shocking revelations in the new trailer. The Alpha Titan has recovered from the injuries he incurred while confronting Mechagodzilla in Godzilla vs. Kong and has evolved into a new, more powerful form.

Godzilla looks to be taking a bright pink type of energy from the ground in one of the new Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire pictures published ahead of the trailer. The cocoon’s shape is similar to the pods in which the MUTOs grew, which could indicate how closely linked all of the Titans are despite their disparate appearances.

The suggestion is that Godzilla, like a bug, has been evolving inside the cocoon. The Monsterverse has established that the Titans’ primary source of radioactive strength is the Hollow Earth itself, and just as Kong was able to charge his axe in the vast tunnel created by his ancestors, Godzilla appears to be collecting power directly from the ground.

His body changes as he evolves, with his dorsal spikes becoming longer, sharper, and more numerous. Godzilla also appears more agile thanks to his enhanced ability to sprint, and his atomic breath appears to be stronger than ever in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
