Is Tama Tonga Related to Roman Reigns or The Rock?

Tama Tonga, known in the professional wrestling world as Tama Tonga Aloisio Leone, is a wrestler recognized for his time in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) as a member of the Bullet Club.

Recently, he made a surprising appearance on WWE SmackDown, joining The Bloodline faction.

Are Roman Reigns or The Rock Related to Tama Tonga?

Although Tama Tonga is not directly related to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson or Roman Reigns by blood, he shares a familial connection through his relationship with professional wrestler Haku (Tonga Fifita).

Haku, Tonga’s father, is considered an uncle by both Roman Reigns and Dwayne Johnson. Tonga is also the adoptive brother of wrestler Tevita.

His entrance into The Bloodline faction on SmackDown signals potential new storylines for the group. Traditionally associated with the Anoa’i family, Tonga’s inclusion expands the possibilities for the faction’s direction.

In past years, Tama Tonga and Roman Reigns engaged in what fans called “online wars” in 2018, though Tonga later described these exchanges as friendly banter during a 2020 interview.

These interactions added an extra layer of intrigue to Tonga’s role within The Bloodline and the broader WWE storylines.

Regarding Roman Reigns’ status as the Tribal Chief, recent events on SmackDown suggest that Solo Sikoa‘s takeover in Reigns’ absence might lead to significant developments within The Bloodline storyline.

The absence of Reigns and the addition of Tonga could bring about changes in the faction’s dynamics moving forward.
