Mary Tjon-Joe-Pin and her husband Jon Pierre Tjon-Joe-Pin, sacrificed their jobs to start a home remodeling business. They were lucky that HGTV spotted their efforts flipping properties in Houston. As a result, they have their own reality program called Going for Sold.
Mary, a former flight attendant, now serves as a designer for their real estate investment company, Harper Raine Homes LLC, titled after their oldest child, Harper. The duo handles all aspects of a potential buyer's home purchase, from buying to design and guidance.
The eight-episode limited show, which begins on June 16th, depicts Jon Pierre, a property manager, and Mary, a designer, as they help their Houston-area clients sell, buy, and renovate to build their dream home.
Step one: Mary's creative and cost-effective blueprints will ensure that the client's house sells swiftly and for the highest possible price.
In the second phase, Jon Pierre will be using his thorough understanding of the Houston market to find a new home that meets the majority of the client's needs but needs a few small fixes to be perfect.
Jon Pierre and Mary intend to utilize the extra gain from the disposal of their current home to buy and refurbish the family's new place.
