Lil Kim is currently facing allegations that she underwent numerous plastic surgery procedures, including rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, fillers, and breast augmentation to enhance her beauty. Comparing her before and after photos, people believe her face looks completely different, especially with no makeup. Similarly, she looks way too young now when comparing her then and now pictures. However, the rapper has only admitted to having rhinoplasty.
Kimberly Denise Jones (born July 11, 1974) is an American rapper and reality television personality better known by her stage name Lil Kim. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York City, and spent much of her adolescent life on the streets after being kicked out of her home.
While she has been an inspiration in many ways, she has also let her fans down in others. On March 17, 2005, the rapper, also known as Kimberly Jones, was convicted of three counts of conspiracy and one count of perjury. She'd been caught lying to a federal grand jury about not seeing her friends at the scene of a gun shooting in 2001, testimony that was later proven false by video surveillance footage. As a result, Kim was sentenced to twelve months in prison.
But lately, the criticism hasn't been about her past as a convict, but about her face. Many people believe that the rapper has undergone numerous plastic surgery to look young than her age, especially after her appearance at the Grammys. Well, here are some things we can take away from Lil Kim's struggles with beauty and expectations!
Lil Kim’s Plastic Surgery Rumors: Comparing Her Then and Now Pictures, People Have Been Accusing Her of Having Rhinoplasty, Fillers & Breast Augmentation!
Lil Kim (@lilkimthequeenbee) has been the subject of plastic surgery rumors for quite some time now, as the rapper has become increasingly unrecognizable, especially with no makeup. Comparing her then and now pictures, the 48-year-old star looks completely different now. She previously opened up about the nose surgery (Rhinoplasty) she had after revealing it in a 2005 interview with Hot 97's Angie Martinez.
It was widely speculated that she had also undergone breast augmentation, chin and cheek fillers, and an eye lift, and speaking about why she wanted to alter her face, in the same interview, she added, “I think I did it because I was a little too vain at the time. [I was] trying to be perfect. I’m a perfectionist,” adding that she was a bit excessive when it came to surgery sometimes.
Sometimes it's best to simply observe something and move on without expressing an opinion about it. Kim has been chastised for a long time, both before and after her plastic surgeries. Kim would not have felt compelled to undergo surgery if they had kept their assumptions at bay from the start.
Since the beginning of her career, Lil Kim has faced criticism and judgment about her face. In 2005, she appeared on a radio show and revealed that she had broken her nose during a physical altercation with an ex-boyfriend. Kim told the audience that, like many other women, she had been in a violent relationship that had left her with a broken nose, black eyes, and all that stuff.
Kim was so tired of lying about her injuries, claiming they were an allergic reaction, and burying her bruises in makeup that she decided it would be better to hire a professional to remove those physical markings once and for all.
The trauma inspired her to establish Lil' Kim Cares, a charitable organization that raises awareness and funds for issues such as homelessness, child neglect, and violence against women. She's also keen on demonstrating that just because she's a celebrity doesn't mean she doesn't face the same difficulties as anyone else suffering from abuse. She, like any other survivor, must muster enormous courage in order to leave a toxic environment and learn to love herself again.
The constant barrage of disapproval got to her head, and she felt she had no choice but to resort to plastic surgery treatment. Kim remarked, “It was like I could do nothing right, everything about me was wrong — my hair, my clothes, just me.” The fact that she is being condemned for conforming to the same expectations that were placed on her in the first place is the epitome of hypocrisy. Lil Kim didn't ask to be burdened with these crippling insecurities; they were instilled in her at a young age and were constantly reinforced by the men in her life.
Plastic surgery is a contentious issue with no right or wrong answer. We must trust women that they are aware of the health risks and understand the full scope of what they are choosing to undergo. It's a huge, irreversible decision, and it deserves to be treated as such. We don't have the right to criticize someone as long as they come out feeling confident and beautiful.
At the same time, no one should feel so compelled to look a certain way that they regard plastic surgery as a requirement rather than a choice. Lil Kim couldn't get over her anxieties and had been fixated on her alleged flaws for so long that the only way to find peace was to go under the knife. It's perhaps even more frustrating to see her career dominated by rumors of skin bleaching, lip injections, boob jobs, and so on, when there are far more substantive points to discuss, such as her run-ins with law enforcement and her impressive body of work.
