Anna was even the brand ambassador for TrimSpa, a diet supplement (drug) designed for weight loss by helping “stave off hunger.” In 2004, she revealed that she shed over 69 pounds after using the product. The ephedra-based supplement was later stopped from production as ephedra was banned from the United States. Later, TrimSpa’s parent company, Goen Technologies, filed for bankruptcy in May 2008.

During her tenure, Anna Nicole Smith also did multiple commercials for the alleged weight loss pill. She claimed TrimSpa was the secret to her transformation. The sales skyrocketed after hiring Smith as their ambassador.

How Did Anna Nicole Smith Die?

Anna Nicole Smith, a popular American television personality, actress, and model, passed away on February 8, 2007. Her death was determined to be the result of an unintentional drug overdose.

She was discovered unresponsive in a hotel room at the Hollywood, Florida’s Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Despite the fact that emergency services were contacted, Smith was already dead when they arrived at the neighboring hospital.

The results of Smith’s autopsy revealed that she had a fatal cocktail of sedatives, anti-anxiety meds, and other prescription narcotics in her system. Acute mixed drug poisoning, principally from the sleep aid chloral hydrate, was found to be the precise cause of death.

Smith’s death was complicated by squabbles and court cases, including ones involving her estate and Dannielynn‘s custody. Significant media coverage was given to the circumstances surrounding her death and the subsequent judicial processes.

For those who are unaware, her son, Daniel Wayne Smith, also passed away on September 10, 2006, 5 months before Anna’s death. He died at the age of 20 in his mother’s hospital room in Nassau, Bahamas due to an accidental drug overdose.

Shortly after his mother gave birth to her daughter, Dannielynn, Daniel took a trip to the Bahamas to see her. Sadly, he was discovered unconscious in his mother’s hospital room and eventually declared dead. According to the autopsy report, methadone and antidepressants were among the medicines that caused Daniel’s death. Anna Nicole Smith, who died less than a year later still grieving the loss of her son, found the circumstances of his death to be particularly upsetting.
