blurred-reality.com – Viewers have been criticizing Blue Eye Samurai after they discovered that one of the co-creators, Michael Green, is a Zionist as he often expresses his support for Israel via Twitter.
Blue Eye Samurai is an adult-animated streaming television series that tells the story of retribution and redemption. The anime, which is set in 17th-century Japan, centers on Mizu, a young lady who is determined to exact revenge on the four white men who were in Japan when she was born and whom she holds responsible for taking her mother’s place and turning her into a monster.
However, the patriarchal society that gets in her way is something else she must contend with. As she embarks on her perilous journey, she meets new allies and confronts some unexpected revelations about her background. The series provides an engaging blend of action-packed drama, adventure, and mystery.
Even though it has been more than 2 months since Blue Eye Samurai was released on Netflix, it is currently making headlines as there’s a discussion going on the Internet about the series being Zionist. Well, let’s find out what the controversy is.

Fans Claim This Blue Eye Samurai Co-creator Is a Pro-zionist!
It’s actually not the show but the co-creator the reason why so many people have been claiming Blue Eye Samurai is Zionist. According to many people, Michael Green (@andmichaelgreen), who is one of the co-creators of the show, has been supporting Israel in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine.
In October, he tweeted,
Any person or government that claims to care about the Palestenian people in Gaza should be uniform in their demand that Hamas return every single hostage unharmed and immediately

While the show itself does not have any content related to Zionism or supporting Jewish people, Green has publicly shown his support for Israel multiple times. Taking to Twitter (now X), one person wrote,
Heart broken over the Blue-eye Samurai creator/s being pro-zionist but whats with all this progressive adult media done by foolish creators who spend more time creating empathy for characters then they ever could real people?
Similarly, another wrote,
Adding context for those who don’t know yet: Michael Green, one of the co-creators of blue eye samurai, is a zionist, this zine is in response to his statements. highly disappointing for a creator of an anti-colonist, anti-nationalist work to condone israel’s humanitarian crimes.
As a result, many fans have been canceling Blue Eye Samurai despite its remarkable season 1.
Will There Be Season 2 of Blue Eye Samurai?
Yes, there will be season 2 of Blue Eye Samurai. Netflix confirmed in December 2023, just a month after the first season’s premiere. With the first season focused solely on one of the three guys the protagonist is looking for, the show may require several additional seasons to wrap things off. And it looks like that’s exactly what the makers intend.
Amber Noizumi and Michael Green (who appears to be a Zionist spoke with Screen Rant just before the show’s premiere and discussed their plans. Claiming “Season 2 has an approved outline,” the power duo teased that the story they have in mind might last “at least three, four seasons.” Not only that, but they’re considering a spinoff with Ringo as the central character. However, we do not have an official release date as of this writing.
