Waka Flocka (@wakaflocka) sparked quite a stir on Instagram after revealing his new girlfriend, Mel. He shared a picture of himself and his new beau standing in front of a helicopter with a caption, “Crazy bout Big MeL ❤️ #MelWaka”

The comments section filled up with responses, with many criticizing his decision to move on so quickly after splitting from his ex-wife, Tammy Rivera, in 2022. One person wrote,

Waka don’t p*ss me off , who is this lady ?????????

Similarly, another wrote,

When some celebrities move on it don’t be looking right.

While people continued to respond to the picture, Waka Flocka decided to put a stop to the problem by going to the comments area of his post and writing:

If y’all really loved me and Tammy respectfully can y’all respect our personal life’s 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Tammy’s daughter, Charlie, also came to support her father at the same post, requesting that people leave him alone. She also added that her mother and stepfather are happy in different relationships and content with what they have now.

Back in October 2023, rumors about Waka moving on from his divorce surfaced when he tweeted [now deleted], “Am I wrong for hiding my girlfriend or smart for protecting real love?”

What Happened Between Waka Flocka and Tammy Rivera?

According to reports, Waka Flocka and Tammy Rivera (@charliesangelll) ran and secretly married. In an interview with RumorFix, Flocka’s mother, Debra Antney, stated that while she was willing to participate in the marriage, her son and Rivera obtained the marriage certificate without alerting anyone.

However, Flocka’s habit of cheating on several occasions began to have a negative effect on the marriage, according to Distractify. The couple eventually separated in 2016, but reconciled in 2019.

Again, rumors of their separation started floating in 2021, when the couple stopped sharing social media posts with one other. Many people hoped that, despite their decision to split up in March 2022, they would be able to work things out. However, Tammy later announced in an Instagram Live that she and Waka had permanently separated.

While it was assumed that the separation was caused by Flocka’s infidelity, Rivera came forward to admit her own role in their marital problems while denying any cheating allegations.
