Jordan Travis updated fans on his condition on Instagram after suffering a leg injury that caused him to leave the No. 4 Seminoles‘ 58-13 win over North Alabama late in the first quarter. Taking to an Instagram video, he said,
Just wanted to let you know I’m doing good, feeling good. Got a smile on my face. Just going to follow God’s plan. God has a journey for me and I’m going to trust him every step of the way.
Following the injury, Travis was dragged off the field and sent to the hospital, where he remains as of this writing. Travis was dragged to the ground by a North Alabama defender after coming down awkwardly near midfield after picking up a first down on a run. As nearly every Seminole teammate came onto the field to support their leader, FSU’s outstanding signal-caller’s left leg was placed in an air cast.
At quarterback, Travis was replaced by Tate Rodemaker Jr. Travis’ departure left the Seminoles behind 13-0. Travis was 2-of-4 passing for 21 yards and rushing for 16 yards before being hurt.
