Is Peekaboo Really a Racist Term?
Former President Donald Trump has always been criticized for using racist terms. Since 2022, he has been labeling NY Attorney General Letitia James as Letitia ‘Peekaboo’ James and many critics have referred to the term as racist.

As per the Dictionary, ‘Peekaboo’ is a game played with a young child, which involves hiding behind something suddenly. In the context of Trump and James’ clash, people believe that he wanted to label her ‘jigab*o’ but used the word ‘peekaboo’.
For those who don’t know, the ‘j-word’ is used as an insulting and contemptuous term for a black person. And Trump has been calling Letitia racist ever since she filed a civil lawsuit against Mr. Trump and the Trump Organization on the grounds that they had allegedly lied “by billions” about the value of real estate in order to obtain advantageous loans and pay less tax.
However, nothing has been proven yet. Trump has never bothered to explain what he means when he uses Peekaboo. However, his spokesman, Steven Cheung, has. In an emailed statement, the spokesman wrote,
[Trump] doesn’t have a racist bone in his body and anyone saying otherwise is a racist and bigot themselves…He garnered record-breaking votes from ethnic minority voters in 2020 and it will be even bigger in 2024.
The Donald Trump Show Is Over, Say Nys Attorney General Letitia James!
Donald Trump has come under fire for his actions throughout the proceedings of his $250 million fraud civil lawsuit from New York Attorney General Letitia James.
James said she won’t “back down or be bullied” and condemned Trump’s “racist and dangerous” comments regarding her and the case. James is suing Trump, his sons Eric and Donald Trump Jr., and The Trump Organization over allegations they filed false financial statements inflating the value of several properties for years to obtain financial benefits and perks.
Trump spoke to media outside of the courtroom during each break throughout the first three days of the civil trial in New York. He criticized the case, the trial’s judge, Arthur Engoron, as well as the absence of a jury, despite claims that his own legal team had neglected to ask for one.

Trump, who is not required to attend the civil trial proceedings, left New York on a flight to Florida on Wednesday afternoon. It is unknown at this time whether he intends to attend the trial again in the future. After the former president left New York, James spoke to reporters and claimed that Trump’s courtroom appearance was “nothing more than a political stunt,” adding that “the Donald Trump show is over.”
