Well, Kate has not mentioned anything about being sick. And we believe she could not have gotten the role if she had any major health problems. Thus, there’s a high chance she lost weight casually to stay fit. After all, she does not look skinny at all.

Just to remind you how much Kate Mara is conscious about her health and diet, it’s important to know that she has been a vegan for almost a decade now. Talking about why she stopped consuming animal products, she said,

I decided to go vegan after reading a book called The Beauty Detox Solution by Kimberly Snyder. It’s about how our bodies are not meant to digest animal products and what we should be eating instead. It made a lot of sense to me. I’ve always had a pretty sensitive stomach, but when I cut animal products out of my diet, I felt so much better.

To keep it short, we can assume Kate’s diet is the reason why people believe she is sick. You cannot consider a person sick if he/she looks leaner or has lost some weight. There are many reasons, intentional and unintentional, why people lose weight without being sick. However, we will surely update you if we find out anything concerning her health.

Kate Mara Suffered Major Health Complications During Her First Pregnancy in 2019!

Kate Mara previously revealed she was far from brave prior to an emergency caesarian surgery she underwent in the past because of a health condition. In May 2019, she underwent a caesarian delivery at 36 weeks pregnant after testing positive for the disorder cholestasis, which increases the risk of stillbirth. She explained,

I was genuinely terrified of what that meant and what could happen and all of these things. And then of course just being tired made me that much more scared, I think…I was just super sad. I remember that moment very clearly because I burst out crying and was like, ‘I’m scared.

According to the NHS, cholestasis is a liver disorder where bile acid builds up all over your body and affects one in 140 pregnancies. In order to help with digestion, this bile acid typically goes from your liver to your stomach, however, it has been suggested by experts that pregnant hormones disrupt this process. Pregnant women with the syndrome may get caesarian sections in order to rescue the baby because it has the potential to result in stillbirths.

Despite the caesarian, Kate Mara and actor James Bell had a daughter who was successfully delivered. However, in addition to her caesarian, the actress experienced a miscarriage before giving birth. On the same podcast, she disclosed that she had a blighted ovum, which is a condition in which an early embryo stops growing and fails to implant.
