On April 25, Hoda stated, “She’s getting better,” in an interview with Southern Living‘s Biscuits & Jam podcast. She also noted that it was tough for her to watch her daughter go through a “difficult time” at such a young age since she felt “helpless.”

Kotb admitted that the stress of her daughter’s illness had a negative impact after the worst was passed.
