As for his profession, Koltsov is a former ice hockey player from Minsk, Belarus, the same city where Sabalenka was born. He played professional ice hockey for 18 years, competing in the IIHF World Championships and the Winter Olympics in 2002 and 2010. From 2008 to 2016, he competed in the Kontinental Hockey League after briefly playing in the NHL with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

According to reports, Koltsov also has three children from his previous relationship; sons Daniel, Alexander, and Stefan. His Instagram is private, however, he frequently appears in photos on Sabalenka’s account. She occasionally posts photos of herself spending time with Koltsov’s sons on social media.
