Ariana Grande has recently been making headlines because of her significant weight loss. However, some people are curious to know about the time she struggled with her weight gain. Well, here’s everything you need to know.
Fans of Ariana Grande are worried about the singer’s health as a result of her weight loss. That comes after Grande’s most recent viral London pictures over the weekend raised questions about her health. While some of her supporters were genuinely worried, others criticized her for being excessively thin in the photos.
The American singer-songwriter took to social media to ask her followers to be gentle in response to their worries over her weight reduction. In a 3-minute TikTok video, the 29-year-old singer addressed fat shaming and asked viewers to stop making comments about her appearance and physique.
It’s true Ariana Grande’s weight loss has been all over the internet. However, some people are also curious to know about the time she started her career. She was way too bigger back in the does. Well, let’s learn about her weight gain in detail.
Ariana Grande’s Weight Gain & Loss: The 29-Year-Old Singer Was Comparatively Bigger When She Started Her Career!
If you’ve watched Ariana Grande (@arianagrande) from her Nickelodeon days, you probably are aware Ariana was comparatively fat at that time. If you compare her current pictures and her pictures from her teenage years, we can assume that she struggled with weight gain growing up.

It’s hard to believe Ariana once might have struggled with her weight gain appearance. Even though Ariana has never opened up about weight from her early days, we know she was on a verge of getting bigger. However, she got it in control once she got a lot of popularity. We believe she once got leaner and never gained her weight back after 2013, the same year she became vegan.
As of right now, Ariana Grande has lost a lot of weight and many people criticized her for her appearance. However, it seems Ariana is not concerned about people’s opinions anymore. Last week, she posted a video on her TikTok and asked people not to judge anybody by their appearance. She told,
I think we should be gentler and less comfortable commenting on people’s bodies no matter what….If you think you’re saying something good or well intentioned — whatever it is – healthy, unhealthy, big, small, this, that, sexy, not sexy — we just shouldn’t.
Her weight recently made headlines after she was photographed with Cynthia Erivo, her Wicked co-star, attending Jeff Goldblum’s concert in London at the weekend. Wearing white high-heel boots and an oversized pink jacket, Ariana looked absolutely stunning. However, many of her fans noticed her leaner figure. Comparing her before and after pictures, people believed she looked extremely thin. In the video, she also explained that she was struggling with her health before she even lost weight. She added,
I know I shouldn’t have to explain that, but I do feel like maybe having an openness and some sort of vulnerability here, good might come from it…..I know personally, for me, the body that you’ve been comparing my current body to was the unhealthiest version of my body. I was on a lot of antidepressants and drinking on them and eating poorly, and at the lowest point of my life when I looked the way you consider my healthy, but that, in fact, wasn’t my healthy.

Ariana Grande also highlighted that there are several ways to appear both healthy and attractive, stressing that healthy might seem different for various individuals. She explained,
There are many different ways to look healthy and beautiful. The second thing is you never know what someone is going through, so even if you’re coming from a loving place or a caring place, that person is probably working on it or has a support system that they’re working on it with. You never know, so be gentle with each other and yourselves.
She concluded the video by saying that everyone is beautiful despite their weight, with or without make-up, and even cosmetic treatments. Clearly, Ariana seems to be tired of getting criticism about her weight gain/loss. Well, we believe she is correct. Nobody should be judged according to their shape or size.
