The Great British Baking Show Host Died: Learn About the Death of Matt Lucas!

Many people believe Matt Lucas, the host of The Great British Baking Show, died after his co-host, Noel Fielding, paid homage on his Instagram. Well, the truth is Matt is still alive. Actually, Noel released a tribute as Matt announced that he’d no longer be the past of the show. However, some people mistakenly believed the post was all about Matt’s death.

The spin-off series titled, The Great Baking Show: The Professionals on Netflix, in the UK, has been running since 2016, and it is now in its seventh season on Channel 4 (although Channel 4 calls it series five because seasons 1-2 aired on BBC Two). Instead of amateurs competing for the top prize like the flagship series, The Great British Baking Show, experts in the baking industry do so this season.

According to our information, season 6 (or series 4, as Channel 4 calls it; Netflix will refer to it as season 1) was released on Netflix on February 1st, 2023. Instead of being released weekly like the main program, all 10 episodes were released at once. It’s important to remember that Netflix’s decision to add the spinoff only applies to Americans. There is now no sign that other regions will start getting the mothership series or its numerous spin-offs.

On the other hand, we’ve discovered that some viewers have recently been wanting to know about the host who died. Well, we’ve got you covered.

Previously, we talked about Benoit BlinCherish Finden, and the hosts of the show.

The Great British Baking Show: Many Thought Matt Lucas Died After His Co-host, Noel Fielding, Paid a Tribute on His Instagram!

With the release of The Great British Baking Show: The Professionals, some viewers have been recalling the time when the rumor about a host dying was circulating on the internet. So, who actually died? Well, no one. Yes, none of the hosts has passed away. It all started when Noel Fielding, the co-host of The Great Baking Show ( not the spinoff), wrote an emotional tribute after his co-host, Matt Lucas, revealed that he would be leaving the show.

In December 2022, Matt announced his decision to stand down as host of the Channel 4 show after it “became clear” to him that he couldn’t handle all of his responsibilities. “So, after three series and 51 episodes, I am cheerfully passing the baguette on to someone else,” said the 48-year-old, before paying tribute to his presenting buddy Noel, 49, as well as judges Paul Hollywood, 56, and Dame Prue Leith, 82.

Noel expressed his love and admiration for the other half of his Bake Off duo in a lengthy Instagram post, writing: “I will really miss your spark and huge smile in the tent and I will miss your kindness as a person and to all the bakers.” While several followers of Noel’s post paid homage to Matt in a similar way, others admitted that at first sight, the former Little Britain star had died.

One user commented, “I THOUGHT HE DIED.” Similarly, another wrote, “Oh my god I thought he died I was about to start crying,’ someone else stated, as one Bake Off viewer penned: ‘Ok well this just made me think he was dead.”

The departing host began hosting Bake Off with Noel in 2020 after being hired to take the role of fellow comedian Sandi Toksvig. Noel has been a part of the show since it switched from the BBC to Channel 4 in 2017.

Well, here’s your answer. There’s nothing to talk about any host’s death as nobody has died yet. Not gonna lie, the way Noel paid tribute to Matt, everyone would believe, at least once, that it was more of a condolence.
