Spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department Brian Humphrey told CNN that a water rescue incident was reported via 911 on Saturday at 4:07 p.m. When the LAPD arrived at 4:10 p.m., they quickly declared the call to be a death investigation. The Los Angeles Times said that Perry, 54, was discovered unconscious in his hot tub, citing law enforcement sources.
