No, Topper Thornton Does Not Die in Outer Banks Season 3: However, He Does Create Chaos Between Sarah and John B!

No, Topper Thornton does not die in Outer Banks. He is not on the list of characters who dies in thrilling Season 3 of the show. However, he does create chaos in the season which actually risks the lives of the Pogues.

While Sarah and John B begin the season as a solid couple while living on the barren island of “Poguelandia” with the rest of the Pogues gang, their love starts to falter once they return to Kildare and Big John, John B’s long-thought-dead father, appears. Sarah feels progressively alone as John B spends more time with his father, and Topper, an old flame, arrives to fill the void.

The Pogues are in need of a big truck when Topper first appears in the fifth episode of the third season, so Sarah joins him in their plan to steal the golden cross of Santo Domingo from a cargo train. It reopens Sarah and Topper’s friendship, which develops swiftly in the upcoming episode. The two spend the evening making out and sleeping (but just sleeping!) together after spending the day together at a beach party with some of Sarah’s former Kooks mates.

Although the kiss gives Topper hope for their relationship, Sarah regrets it and tells John B. John B then dumps Sarah and expresses his anger by hitting Topper in the face. The Pogues couple rekindles their romance when Sarah convinces Topper to drop the assault charges against John B. But, when Topper finds them together, he erupts in wrath and burns John B’s house down. Luckily, the gang makes it out unharmed.

And that is all that Topper basically does in Season 3 of Outer Banks. And he definitely does not die. Additionally, the role of Topper is played by actor Austin North, who is based recognized for his role in the Disney Channel sitcom I Didn’t Do It and the Hulu series All Night.

What Is a Pogue in Outer Banks?

In other words, if you’re a Pogue, you live in The Cut, which is the southernmost part of the island. The Pogues are members of the working class who serve as waiters, yacht cleaners, and charter captains for the wealthy. These are essentially the island’s slums, and some people automatically despise those who live there. You don’t have to come from a lower social class to be a Pogue, though it’s a little more complicated than that.

For example, Kie resides in Figure 8 (where the Kooks reside). But, her sassy attitude and no-nonsense outlook turn her into an adversary of her fellow wealthy neighbors. In season one, Sarah, once known as the Princesses of Kooks, abandoned her royal status after seeing how cruel and angry her family was.

John B. specifically states in the pilot that the name of the organization is actually derived from a certain fish. “Pogues, pogies, the trash fish,” the protagonist says. They are at the bottom of the food chain. The pogies appear to be utilized as bait in the fishing business, based on appearances.
